Thanks to all who were so helpful with my first query. This query concerns, Eligah ODELL, one of the sons of Jeremiah ODELL (1761-1842). Eligah is buried in the Wilderness next to his father, however, his gravestone is difficult to read. We can read his year of birth as 1788. His date of death appears to be April 22, 1851 but the last digit of the year is not legible. Does any one know what it might be?
Also, at the bottom of Eligah ODELL's gravestone we note the following inscription; "A soldier in the war of 1812. Present at the Indian Massacre at the river _________, under General ________." We need to fill in the
blanks on this inscription if possible.
Additonally, we need information, especially marriages and children of, John William ODELL (1809-1888). He was the last child of Jeremiah ODELL (1762-1842) and is shown to have died in Greebrier County, WV.
