Does anyone have any information about the following people who are listed on the 1870 Nicholas County census?
1. Anderson SCOTT
2. Ballard SCOTT
3. Joseph SCOTT
4. Richard SCOTT
5. William SHORT
I am trying to find the origin of my SCOTT family. My gggrandfather was a James SCOTT who was married to an Eleanor or Eleanora SHORT. They had a son, William A. SCOTT, who was born in 1845. William A. lived in Braxton County at least part of his life and is buried there. They do not appear in Braxton County census until 1870. I was wondering if they were part of the above families.
