I'm going to be making a trip to Summersville in Nicholas County in about a month to do genealogy research. Can someone tell me if the Nicholas County Historical and Genealogy Society building is still open to the public. We were there two years ago, in the fall, and it was closed due to not having heat in the building. I would like to spend a day there. The last time we were in Summersville a very nice lady picked us up and took us to the building and stayed with us in the cold. She was really nice to strangers.
Also, is it possible to go to the Hughes Cemetery, located in Twenty Mile area. They were doing some sort of excavation in that area and we were not able to get to the cemetery last time.
