A follow-up to your Malcolm inquiry
My 4Xgreat-grandfather, Joseph Blaine Malcolm "Sr." (b.1774 - Pendleton County?, VA, d. May 3, 1848, Milton, Cabell County, VA/WV) lived for a time in the Kessler's Cross Lanes area with his wife, Mary Rion/Ryan Malcolm (1774 in VA - 1859, Milton, Cabell County, VA), and her brother, Edward Rion (b. 1778 in VA - died between 1850 - 1860). Mary had fourteen children (twelve are listed below, not in order):

Rachel
Talitha
Dorothy
John
Mary
Jemima
Martha
Polly
Margaret
Edward Barnabus Malcolm 1824 - June 6, 1878, spouse of Virginia McGinnis, 1818 - 1891
Robert C (Carlisle?) Malcolm
Joseph Blaine Malcolm Jr., spouse of Josephine Plymale of Cabell (now Wayne) County, VA/WV, married April 1842.

The name Emaline/Emeline pops up here and there in my branch, from Joseph Blaine Malcolm Jr. In fact, one of the two missing names above may have been a daughter named Emaline. I know that Joseph Blaine Malcolm "Sr." himself was the son of Joseph Blaine Malcolm and Dorothy Ferguson.

Might your Emaline below to one of these families?
