My great-grandfather Clownie Lewis ALVIS died in Richwood, Nicholas County in 1926. There may have been other ALVISES in Nicholas County at other times. I am looking for information about a William Alvis, born abt. 1810, who may have spent time in Nicholas or a neighboring county. He was Clownie's grandfather. Any help is appreciated.
