I have been trying to put together my mothers side of the family tree and I need to ask a question.When looking at www.rootsweb.com/~wvcalhou/marriage3.htm in the marriage records I found one of my ancestors.Solomon and Dorothy
NICHOLS. When I came here I found that there names were listed as Nicholas.
So my question is, what were the chances of themselves changing their last name?I would appreciate anything you may be able to tell me.
