Looking for any information on Jacob Thomas COPENHAVER, b. 1824, who settled in Nicholas County as a farmer and surveyor. He had a son named Floyd on June 7, 1852 who married a Grace Carson who had Eldridge Mansfield Copenhaver who was born in Charleston, Lawrence W. Copenhaver, and Hubert Copenhaver. She left the area (and Floyd) and travelled to Pittsburgh where her final destination was California, Pennsylvania by way of Dunlevy, Pennsylvania. Floyd also fathered Grant, Thomas, Virginia, Dale, and Fred Copenhaver. The area of the farm is an 800 acre tract of land straddling Cooper's Creek and Lick Branch. I have been actively tracking this down and obtained addtional information from a third cousin FWT.
I also believe Floyd second wife or companion was named Flora.
Would appreciate any information.
